It’s that time of year again!

The Academy has announced this year’s nominees for Outstanding Short Films in three categories: Live Action, Documentary, and Animation — and now you can experience them all on the big screen.

Presented by Taika Waititi, the 98th Oscar® Nominated Shorts Program features three feature-length theatrical presentations — one for each Academy Award® Short Film category — showcasing some of the most exceptional short films from around the world.

This special program offers a rare opportunity to see these celebrated works in theaters ahead of the Oscars®. Honoring short films as a distinct and vital art form, Roadside Attractions presents this must-see cinematic event, bringing together film lovers and the global filmmaking community for a shared big-screen experience.

Butcher’s Stain

A Friend of Dorothy

Jane Austen’s Period Drama

Jane Austen’s Period Drama is a 2024 English-language short comedy written and directed by Julia Aks and Steve Pinder. A sharp and playful satire of Pride and Prejudice, the film puts a bold modern twist on Regency-era romance.

Set in 1813 England, the story follows Essy Talbot, whose long-awaited marriage proposal is derailed at the worst possible moment when her period arrives — turning an elegant courtship into gloriously awkward chaos.

The Singers

In a surreal society where a kiss is punishable by death and purchases are made by receiving slaps to the face, an unhappy woman seeks solace in compulsive shopping at a department store. There, she becomes unexpectedly captivated by one of the employees — setting the stage for a dangerous longing.

Two People Exchanging Saliva imagines a stark dystopian world where even the most intimate human connection is forbidden, exploring desire, repression, and rebellion in the face of absurd cruelty.
