CLASSES FOR ADULTS

BEGINNING TAP

Beginning Tap (Ages 18+) – Taught by Joanne DePrizio

Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 pm in the Rehearsal Hall
Students will be taught the technique of basic tap steps, balance control, weight shifts, and how to develop memory skills to transition from one tap step to another, together with hand/arm movements associated with the tap steps. This class is instructional and basic steps will be broken down and taught. This class is a prerequisite for Intermediate Tap.
Tuition: $120 ($20 drop-in option)
INTERMEDIATE TAP
April 6 – May 25, 2023 – Spring Session
Intermediate Tap (Ages 18+) – Taught by Joanne DePrizio
April 6 – May 25 (8 weeks) – Spring Session
Thursdays 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the Rehearsal Hall
Students will have mastered the basic steps, balance, weight shifts, and increased memory level to be able to take this class. Students will learn more advanced tap steps and full choreography will be taught. This is a fast-paced class and students will be expected to keep the pace and execute the more advanced steps. Prerequisite: Beginning Tap
Tuition: $120 ($20 drop-in option)
EVERYONE CAN IMPROV!

Everyone Can Improv! – Level II (Ages 18+) – Taught by Patrick Price
March 29 – May 3 (6 weeks)
Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the Stonzek Theatre
Have you ever wondered why we stop playing when we get to a certain age? It’s a magical thing to be able to create a world of your own whenever you want and that feeling is what we’ll capture here together! Those moments of pure joy watching something brand new (and usually funny) come to life using your imagination and the shared experiences of the group. This class follows Level 1 and will delve further into improv techniques and practices. Students will have taken Level I or have previous improv experience. The class will culminate with a showcase open to friends and family.

ACTING FOR THE STAGE
March 20 – May 8, 2023
Acting for the Stage (Ages 18+) – Taught by Elizabeth Dimon
March 20 – May 8 (8 weeks)
Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Stonzek Theatre
Acting for the Stage will focus on both monologue and scene study. Both rehearsal and memorization outside of class time will be necessary for a positive performance experience.
