MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION TECHNIQUE
Musical Theatre Audition Technique (Ages 18+)
February 4 – April 22 (12 weeks)
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesdays
Location: Rehearsal Hall
TUITION: $325
TEACHER: JB Wing
For musical theatre auditions, acting technique is important. Vocal technique is important. But AUDITIONING, by itself, is a technique that must be learned and practiced. Being “good at” auditioning will leave an actor feeling confident and proud . . . and, who knows . . . it could even get them the role they want! In this class, actors will learn how to handle audition nerves, how to walk into (and present themselves in) that audition room, how to find the best cuts of music, and, of course, song interpretation. The “business” of auditioning in both New York City and Florida will also be discussed. Each actor will have equal amounts of time in each class to present and work on their musical theatre audition.
February: 4, 11, 18, 25
March: 4, 11, 18, 25
April: 1, 8, 15, 22 (Last class/showcase)
