What to Prepare:
Auditions will feature script readings, and no prepared monologue is required. We’ll provide all sides on-site. If you have a headshot and résumé, please bring them with you.
About the Show:
Biloxi Blues is Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical coming-of-age comedy and the second chapter in his acclaimed “Eugene Trilogy.” The play follows a group of young army recruits during World War II as they endure basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi. Through humor, conflict, and camaraderie, they learn about friendship, integrity, and growing up under pressure.

Sgt. Merwin J. Toomey (30s–40s): Tough, no-nonsense drill sergeant with a volatile edge.
Arnold Epstein (20s): Intellectual, stubborn, principled recruit; Eugene’s moral compass and friend.
Joseph Wykowski (20s): Brash, cocky, and often crude; a classic soldier type.
Don Carney (20s): Good-natured and eager; loves to sing and please others.
Roy Selridge (20s): The joker of the group; loyal and mischievous.
Rowena (20s–40s): A worldly, kind-hearted prostitute who helps Eugene mature emotionally.
Daisy Hannigan (Late teens): A sweet, innocent Catholic schoolgirl; Eugene’s first love.
