What to Prepare:
Prepare a 1–2 minute contemporary monologue that best shows your range and emotional nuance. If you have a headshot and résumé, please bring them along.
About the Show:
The Sound Inside is a gripping and intimate two-character drama exploring the relationship between a Yale creative writing professor and her brilliant but mysterious student. The play examines art, storytelling, morality, and the human need for connection with intelligence and emotional honesty.
Available Roles (The Lake Worth Playhouse encourages people of all races, abilities, and genders to audition for the roles they most identify with.):
Bella Baird (Female-identifying, 40s–50s): A Yale creative writing professor; introspective, witty, and deeply intelligent.
Christopher Dunn (Male-identifying, early 20s): A gifted but enigmatic student; intense, articulate, and idealistic.
Online submissions are on a case-by-case basis.
