2026/27 Radio Play Series

March 26 at 7:30 pm and March 27 at 2:00 pm

Adapted from the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier and inspired by the celebrated broadcast from Lux Radio Theatre, which brought the story to life for radio audiences following the Academy Award–winning film directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

In this atmospheric radio drama, a shy young woman traveling in Europe meets the mysterious widower Maxim de Winter and is swept into a sudden marriage. When she arrives at his magnificent estate, Manderley, she soon discovers that the house is still ruled by the lingering memory of Maxim’s first wife—Rebecca. With rich performances, haunting music, and evocative sound design, this radio adaptation of Rebecca captures the gothic mystery, romance, and psychological suspense that made the story one of the most enduring tales of intrigue ever broadcast on the airwaves.

“It is within these moment-by-moment exchanges between characters, in this reviewer’s opinion, that a conversational, life-like manner is alive in RadioTheatre’s rendition of Alfred Hitchcock’s famed tale REBECCA.” –  Picture This Post
