The production contains mature language and frank discussions of sexuality, body image, family relationships, childhood experiences and the realities of working in the theatre.
About the Show:
A Chorus Line examines one day in the lives of Broadway dancers auditioning for a place in the chorus of a new musical. As the audition progresses, the performers are asked to reveal the personal experiences that shaped their lives and their need to dance.
Funny, honest and deeply moving, A Chorus Line celebrates the dedication, vulnerability and courage of performers who put everything on the line for the chance to do what they love.
Casting:
Lake Worth Playhouse is committed to inclusive, nontraditional and nonconforming casting. Performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities and backgrounds are encouraged to audition and may be considered for roles outside traditional casting expectations. Character ages are flexible and indicate the relationships and general needs of the roles rather than strict requirements.
